LED treatment is a painless skin care procedure using mainly red or blue light. There are no side effects and no downtime. Red light rejuvenates skin by stimulating fibroblasts to produce collagen and decreasing the enzymes that break down collagen. Blue light safely destroys bacteria on the skin and in the pores to improve acne. It is a perfect treatment for individuals struggling with both wrinkles and acne.

What Does the Treatment Involve?
Patients simply lie on a bed while the light is applied for 15 minutes. You can listen to music or simply relax. Photorejuvenation treatments are performed weekly for 4 weeks. Acne treatment involves 2 sessions per week for 6 weeks.
When Will I Notice the Effects of The Treatments?
It takes about 6 weeks to notice the improvement in the appearance, texture and fine lines of the skin. The result is smoother, more youthful looking skin.
Can It Be Used With Other Treatments?
LED therapy can be done on its own or in combination with other treatments. Red light can be combined with any other treatment, including a facial, chemical peel, dermalinfusion, microdermabrasion, microneedling, IPL, laser or radio frequency skin tightening treatment.
ALA can be added to enhance blue light LED therapy for a more aggressive treatment for rejuvenation and acne, but there will be 2 to 7 days downtime.
How Will I Look After LED Treatment?
Mild pinkness may last for a few minutes after the treatment but there is no downtime.

What is the Recommended Maintenance Regimen?
After a series of treatments, a maintenance treatment every month or so will maintain the effects. LED treatment works best in conjunction with a good skin care regimen, including sun protection. If you are prone to cold sores (herpes simplex), you will start on anti-viral medication one day before your procedure.
