How does the Gentle Laser Peel work?
The laser enhances skin permeability by forming microchannels in the surface of the skin, called the stratum corneum, to allow passage of various products into the skin. Since the microchannels are so tiny, they do not compromise the barrier function of the skin and do not allow entry of bacteria or viruses.
How is the Gentle Laser Peel different from other lasers?
It is a gentle laser that is designed to be used together with anti aging products to enhance their penetration. Antioxidant serum is an example of a product that can be applied immediately after treatment with the Gentle Laser Peel. Studies have shown a 17 times greater penetration of the antioxidant ascorbic acid (vitamin C) into the skin after the treatment.
Why are antioxidants important for healthy skin?
Antioxidants neutralize damaging free radicals caused by ultraviolet radiation from the sun. They also offer some sun protection and help keep skin healthy.

How is the Gentle Laser Peel treatment done?
Typically, no anaesthetic cream is applied before the treatment since there is minimal discomfort and downtime. Several laser passes are gently stroked across the skin. The treatment feels tingly and warm. Immediately after the laser, a product such as an antioxidant serum is applied and covered by a hydrating cream or mask. Sunscreen is then applied.
How will I look after the Gentle Laser Peel treatment?
The skin may be pink for a day. Make-up can be applied and most patients return to their regular activities immediately. A few days after the treatment, your skin will start to feel softer and look brighter. With successive treatments, the results will become more noticeable.
How often should I have treatments?
A series of 6 treatments 2 to 3 weeks apart is ideal for best results. Maintenance treatments can be performed every 6 weeks or so as part of a maintenance program.

How long will the results last?

Definitely! If spider veins are present, they can be treated with intense pulsed light. If there is extensive sun damage, photodynamic therapy can be used. Neuromodulators for Cosmetic Treatments treats dynamic wrinkles and fillers plump up deep creases. Saggy skin can be tightened and lifted with radio frequency skin tightening. Dermalinfusion, microdermabrasion, and light chemical peels can be performed for maintenance treatment and microneedling, mesoinfusion, ablative or non-ablative laser skin resurfacing for a more aggressive treatment.
